The role owner is responsible for managing our Unix and Linux environments and support the operation of applications running within them. The main focus is however on the operation of our file transfer solution. This includes analysis and resolving of issues, setting up new transfer or adjusting existing ones.
The function is positioned within a team of 5 Releasemanagers, 3 Unix Engineers and one Windows Engineer which collaborates closely with Application Management, 3rd-party developers, Engineering, IT Operations, Avaloq Release Management and IT Test Management
Maintaining file transfer solution
*Analysis and resolving of specific technical issues. (Performance, Stability)*Project support (consulting)*Documentation of system landscape and processes*Improving and automating processes*Interface to 3rd Party Provider/Suppliers
- Have at least a Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience in IT
- Have experience working with SDLC
- Strong communication skills
- Engineering, setting up, adjusting and operating of Unix/Linux environments
- Experience with Middleware products (i.e. WebLogic, Java, Apache Tomcat)
- Experience with databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server)
- Experience with Network and Firewall principles
- Solution and service oriented, taking over ownership
- Good social grace in contact with business and IT Developers
- Own initiative, self-starter qualities and persistency
